45W Output Covers More Than Phones#
The single USB-C port supplies up to 45W through fixed 5V, 9V, 15V, and 20V profiles, using what Anker calls a smart 3-stage system that adjusts in real time. It also supports PPS — but note the limit, because Anker states it plainly: this charger does 3A PPS, and the Samsung S22+, S22 Ultra, S23+, S23 Ultra, S24+ and S24 Ultra all require 5A PPS to reach Fast Charging 2.0. Care Mode Trades Speed for Lower Heat#
A double tap activates Care Mode. Anker's two published figures for it are worth reading precisely, because they have different baselines: the charger stays "up to 36°F cooler than international safety limits for charging temperature", and the mode "lowers charging temperature by up to 9°F compared to standard 45W chargers". Neither is a Care-Mode-versus-full-speed delta. Anker publishes no wattage cap for the mode and no figure for how much longer a charge takes.
That trade-off makes sense for overnight charging or a desk top-up when speed is not urgent. It does not bypass the phone's own battery management, and it resets to standard Auto Mode after the charger is unplugged. Think of it as a convenient lower-power profile rather than a replacement for the safeguards already inside your device.
The 180-Degree Plug Solves Awkward Outlets#
Most folding chargers offer only open or closed positions. Anker's tri-position mechanism lets the blades sit at 90 or 180 degrees when in use. You can route the cable down a wall in one room, then rotate the body to clear a crowded power strip in another.
